Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 June 2026

inp.works is a synthetic Interaction to Next Paint (INP) scanner. This page explains what data we process, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little as possible.

Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the tool is used (page views, which features are clicked). Analytics run under Google Consent Mode v2 with consent denied by default: until you press “Accept” in the cookie banner, Google sets no analytics cookies and receives only anonymous, cookieless pings. IP addresses are anonymised.

Your choice is stored in your browser under the key “inp-consent” and is shared between the scanner and these guide pages. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing that value (clear site data in your browser).

What we store when you scan a URL

When you submit a URL, we load that public page in a headless browser, interact with elements and measure interaction timings. To illustrate the report we capture screenshots of the interactive elements on the scanned page and store them with the report.

Reports are not public: each is reachable only via an unguessable link. We do not publish a feed, list or search index of scanned sites, and report pages are not indexed by search engines.

IP address

Your IP address (taken from the request) is used only to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse. It is not used for advertising or profiling.

Third parties

Google Analytics (Google LLC) — analytics, only after consent, as described above.

A-ADS (a-ads.com) — the ads shown on the site. A-ADS is privacy-friendly and does not use tracking cookies.

Google CrUX API (Google LLC) — to show real-world field data alongside the synthetic result, the scanned URL is sent to Google’s public Chrome UX Report API.

Netcup GmbH (Germany) — our hosting provider. Reports, element screenshots and the IP addresses used for rate limiting are stored on its server infrastructure on our behalf, under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

Retention and deletion

Scan results and screenshots are kept only as long as needed to provide the service and are removed periodically. You can ask us to delete a report — send the URL of the scanned page to the contact below and we will remove any report for it.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct or delete your data, and to withdraw consent for analytics at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us.
